I know all of you 4x4 guys would like to strangle me but I really want to
lower my frontier in order to get a more "sport-truck" appearance. I only
want about 1 1/2 inch in the front and maybe 2 inch in the back. I have
searched high and low for a company that makes drop spindles for the front
and lowering springs for the rear. No success yet. Could anyone here help
me with this? I am open to all suggestions except those that try and talk me
out of what I want to do here. With a 265+ horse motor and a stiff
suspension this truck is begging to be a sport. The damn Tacoma has a
sport package (which looks retarded), why doesn't the Frontier?

Please help!!!!

i'm assuming you have a king cab, no? while i too cringe at the lowering of a truck..you might just try looking for body styling like the tacoma has..i am not sure how much lower it is, but it has some styling that makes it look lower mostly in my opinion, that might come off looking nice on a fronty if you set it up right but by NO means PLEASE DO NOT OFFSET YOUR WHEELS, that makes it look retarded, like a damn go cart espec with low pros. anywho some ideas for you, there is a roll pan and some nice grilles at street scenes.

roll pan, grilles

http://www.nissanfrontier.org/forum_posts.asp?TID=740&PN =1

other than that i'm not sure about other stuff, try

www.stylinconcepts.com they list some lowering components like blocks for the rear to lower from 1-4" (not sure how this works) and stuff for custom suspension, i.e. the components i was talking about

or www.truckaddons.com

i didn't see any side skirting or front air dams, but i didn't do an extensive search either

not a lot out there from what i've seen either maybe someone else could be more helpful hope it's at least a little helpful

Lowering a 4x2... yeah, lowering a 4x4... I strongly disapprove.  But it is your money.

Frontyfan.... thanks for your ideas. Just as an FYI, lowering blocks can not be
used on 2005+up frontiers because the rear axle is mounted below the leaf
springs, previous frontiers and hardbodies had the axles above the leaf. I
guess Nissan figured the majority of owners would want to raise the truck,
so this design made sense. I think I may have to find a lower rate set of
leafs for the rear, and then get some spindles custome modified or made
from scratch. And yes, I do have a KC. Thanks again, you are a class act, and
your research is greatly appreciated.

hintonl....I meant 4x2, you obviously have a knack with precocious
comments. Don't waste my time or your own being a smart alec. I can
concede that your vast intellect of the differences between 2x2 and 4x2
supercedes my own If it conciliates you.

I would just do a axle spring flip over.  You might have to play with the middle support for the driveshaft to keep the pinion angle correct.

yeah that axle flip would work and wouldn't be too hard either..now for hte front..i guess the custom thing could work to level it out, one of those sites i posted has the components for custom set up, ti's the same site that has the blocks, and hey...sorry bout that...i don't have an 05 and lol well to be honest..wouldn't lower a truck myself, but we'll let that be for now LOL....good luck with that but i bet it'll look sharp if you don't go too low or if you could find that airdam, get a rollpan and some side skirting even if it has to be custom and go with slightly bigger wheels..like 17-18" might not look to bad as a sport truck i bet depends on how much money you want to spend on it eh? isn't that always the case...
