Calling all geniusus on this site here ye here ye. My ac sysytem for the past week has been been running cold, semi-cold and not cold at all sometimes. Previous to this my ac system has been trouble free for years. I figured it needed some freon so I checked the psi and it read 30 psi which is ok but on the low side. While I was checking the pressure I noticed the compressor cycled on and off every 30 or so seconds. Anyway, I put in a can of freon in the low pressure port and everything was chillin for a couple days. Then suddenly my ac system strictly blows non cold air and the compressor does'nt run at all. I checked the psi and it read 15 psi with the compressor off. So I tried to get the compressor running by adding another can of freon and it still does'nt run. The psi in the system with the compressor off now reads 70 psi. So, it still does'nt blow cold and the compressor now does'nt run. Any ideas anybody?

Try a thermo control amplifier. Get all that R134A recovered from of the system and have it recharged to the proper amount. Just adding freon is not smart, you have to know how much is in the system to begin with.< id="gwProxy" ="">< ="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" ="">
