I don't know what Nissan is waiting for. I spoke to the regional rep this
morning. I was told she needs to speak with the regional team. Gonna call
back on friday. The dealership finally gave a digagnosis of low compression on
multiple cylinders. Nissan wanted to know if the engine had sludge build up
and are wanting service records. I went in today to speak to the service
manager, who was out. I did take a look at the truck. They had the valve
covers and uppper intake off. I looked at the valve covers and the tops of the
heads. Both look extremely clean. I snuck a pic of the top of the head. It like
either nissan is trying to weasel out of paying the warranty claim or the
dealer isn't wanting to fool with it. 59 days of ownership 27 in the shop.

I got a call from Nissan this morning.  The Dealer is ordering a complete engine assembly this morning.  Will find out Tuesday when it should be finished.  I'm pretty happy about that

Hey guys.  Latest update on my wonderful hunk of junk I like to refer to as "the Lemon"  I picked it up today from the dealership, after it was there for 31 days for an engine swap.  not counting the 18 days previous for the catalytic converters.  anyway I made it 12 miles from the dealership with absoutly no problems, then the service engine light came on. I turned around and took it back. by the time I got there it was spewing coolant, looked like from the water pump.  so now its back in the shop, for who know how long. I did get to drive it for almost half an hour today.  YAY Heritage Nissan Service department.

I did a month ago... the "regional advisor" said that dealer is doing everything according to protocol. Its very frustrating.  However Nissan did offer a $750 dollar rebate toward the purchase of a new truck "for my trouble"

ha that's great. I think I will. I have struck a deal to trade it in on a toyota
gonna finalize everything as soon as it gets out of the dealership long enough.
Latest update. I talked to them today. The cats that were just replaced are
restricted. Hmmm good thing I mentioned that they might want to check em
due to the 10 quarts of oil it burned... The service manager informed me they
would get the parts ovenight since he wasn't going to STOCK ORDER them
this time. Those boys need to wear helments so they don't hurt themselves.

picked up my lemon again today. Made it 4.3 miles before the service
engine light came on. I told the service idiot that it's been coming on at 30
miles the trip meter read 25.0 when I got in it. Went back and wasn't so nice
this time. He told me he was doing me a favor by doing warranty work on
it. I'm gonna take it to a different dealer and contact an attorney
