Hey thanks for the reply...I wasnt sure if you were still around being that this post is so old. I always use 92 octane or better in my cars unless they specifically call for lower octane. The mechanics that I know say its just better for your cars to run on higher octane anyway.

I will take the info you posted into consideration but the noise does not happen at an idle. It is only noticeable at between 1800 & 2300 rpm and at initial start up when cold.  I will check the by pass valve but I dont think its in by pass mode. The boost seems fine and you can hear the supercharger wind up as usually.

I'm going to bring in by my mechanics house tonight and see what we find...I'll update this post...thanks again.

ok so heres the problem ive got now. i have a 2002 frontier s/c so i as most
of you have had the knock sensor go bad or need to be moved it was
sending that retarded code to the bypass valve. well i moved it no code now
but im still in bypass mode and cant get into a good boost. ive changed the
spark plugs and wires im so pissed and cant fix it. i just bought a boost
gauge but im so mad i dont want to mess with it. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

installed a 2.3 pulley? What would it take
to make sure I won't kill my bearings?
Replacing them? Also I checked and I'm not
in failsafe mode but I do have a noise and
hesitation plus low power. I'm thinking I
should replace bearings and oil and take
it from there. Any advice would be
helpful. TIA
