That's the great thing about the old KA motors, a real timing CHAIN, not a belt.
The clutch would be a more concern to me than the timing chain. Not saying it couldn't break, but it takes some drastic wear to ruin them. Then tensioner tends to give out long before the chain does. I'm also trying to remember if there was an inspection cover on the transmission for the clutch.
On one hand, my parents have a 90 toyota pickup with almost 300k that has never had anything internal engine work done, still running strong. On the other hand it is a gamble.
I'd say have the timing belt tensioner replaced, and have the chain measured to make sure it hasn't streched. And if it's been a really really long time for the clutch have it changed.
