i'm in the same boat; from my research, unless there is an "HD" or "category" button on the front (mine doesnt have this) there's no aux input on the back. i'm about to spring for a new double din head unit.

in my 03, i had a powerful fm modulator put behind the glove box. i think with installation and everything it was around 100 bucks. it worked much better than the $30 fm transmitter that plugged into the ipod.

just installed a clarion609.

it has an auxilliary cord that comes out of the back and i put in the glove compartment. i can control my ipod with the head unit and just leave the ipod in the glove compartment all the time; fully charged.

took less that $200 and less than 2 hours out of my life.
