My friend needs his alternator replaced, and I want to help him, but I've
always worked on Chevy's so I have no idea how difficult it is to change an
alternator on a 2004 frontier. Can someone tell me how difficult it is to
replace it. Will I have to pull the motor or will I be able to just do it from
underneath? Thank you for your help

Need a little more info - 2wd 4wd 4cyl 6 cyl - either way the engine does not need to come out.

it's a 2wd 6 cylinder. I'm sure it's pretty similar to changing an alternator on
any other vehicle.

i really thought removing my frontier alternator would be a pain in the arse! but it is just simple. it just the same like other vehicles. the bigger problem is rebuilding your alternator. anyway what alternator you are using on your frontier guys? i just wanna now because i will be changing mine soon. thanks
