I have a 2004 frontier 3.3 sc with a p0301.   It is a dead misfire. I have changed plugs, wires, cap, rotor, distributor, number 1 injector.  I have run a compression test 170 or real close on all cylinders.  Cylinder leak down test pased.  verified injector pulse and spark to number 1 cylinder.  Vacuum test great.  Pulled intake to check for leaky gaskets.  Visually checked timing belt for marks.  I got spark, fuel and compression.  This truck is driving me nuts.  The wife really wants her truck back.  Pleease help

By any chance, did you verify injector spray with the rail
removed? My concern is with a possible voltage drop for the
#1 injector, that is why I asked if you verified operation
with the rail removed. Any sign of water intrusion at the
ECU?

I did not.  I did plug in the old injector while the veh was running and i could feel it pulse.  Water intrusion in ecm;  I will check that right now.

Plug in the old injector while it is skipping and see if it
pulses.

I have seen something like this before and it turned out to be a faulty HVL that only showed up when running and caused a misfire on that cylinder.

Compression check was good when turning over.

Did a running compression test while misfire was ocuring.  60 percent of my static at idle and 80 percent when i snap the throttle.  On a GM thats great.  tells me the engine is breathing ok in and out.  IE lifters and valves ok

I'm confused on the static and throttle snap, what are you
using to check comp?
