I searched for a prior thread on this topic, found a couple, but not what I am looking for.  I know there are a few ASE people on this board, maybe they will chime in.

I have a 05 SE 4x4, WITHOUT the automatic headlight option. I already have the signal switch with the Automatic Headlight function installed (I installed foglights) and I purchased the sensor from Courtesy. The wiring harness is prewired for this Automatic Headlight option at the factory and I have found where it is already connected to the BCS. The other end of the wire is somewhere within the wire harness within the dash and would likely require taking the entire dash board apart in order to find it. I already partially dissambled the dash/console assembly, stopping before interferring with the air bag components, and could not find the other end of the connector. Could anyone tell me exactly where the other end is? I contacted  Courtsey, and they can sell me the short 2-wire (white signal wire and brown ground) cable and the connectors if they knew the part number, so if anyone here had done that install, a part number would be a huge help too.

Of course, it is just two wires, I could easily splice into the two wires that go into the BCS, but then Id need to find the correct connector that snaps into the sensor, so thats another option.

thank you

If Frontierguy doesn't chime in, I'll take a look on All
Data tomorrow. I can't access it from home. They have
component locator that should help narrow down where in the
harness they put the connector.

Here you go. I think what you're after is the middle
picture. Follow the wiring from there and it should lead
you to the connector. That's as much as I could find in
regards to the connector.

If you remove the plug where the sensor is located, you
might be able to "fish out" the harness and connector.
Sometimes if they are not used, they are taped to the
harness. Once you are all attached, you may have to "re-
write" the BCM configuration for the auto lites to
function.

Thanks for the advice!  I saw a couple connectors under there. One looked like it might be for the sensor, but the shape of the connector was wrong. Plus, the underside of the sensor has 4 prongs (correct word?) and the connector I saw only would allow 2.  Ill dig around some more under there and see what I find.

Just went out and looked at my wife's Altima connector, it
has 3 wires, white/red, pink, red. Checked All data for the
Frontier, it shows 2 wires, white and brown.

Ill take a picture of the underside of sensor. Perhaps Courtesy sent me the
wrong sensor, but it does look just like the one pictured on their site.

Please, in the future do not post photos wider than 800 pixels.

The forum has a

rule about wide posts that require scrolling to read the text. Due to the technical nature of the photo it will not be deleted.

the underside or sensor. why 4 prongs?

I'm at the same point on my 2008 Frontier. Did anybody ever resolve the pinout on the sensor? The four pins are not labeled that I can find so I don't know which one is 3 and 4. Thanks.
