I hauled a 16' aluminum trailer (1200#) with a 3200# car with fully loaded bed, across North America (Yukon to Nova Scotia). Stock 2008 SE V6 4x4 CC... Premium gas always when towing... 6th gear was no problem mot of the time... kept revs around 2300.

I've decided to buy a Superchips Cortex programmer to boost my towing power using 91 or 93 ocatane gas, whichever it takes to get optimum towing ability. From the reviews, I'm pretty sure that reprogramming my trucks computer for more towing power will allow me to tow my nearly 4000 lb trailer in 6th gear (on level or slight hills anyway) without straining the running gear. I'll test it out soon as I plan to tow my wife's 3200 lb Tucson from central Florida to northern Alabama.
