Since the Hawaii in the 1930s thread is still getting
many visits I thought I’d add some new pictures to it.
The problem is I tried four different ways and failed to
get the pictures up. Sometimes I got this message
Server object error 'ASP 0177 : 800401f3'
Server.CreateObject Failed
/functions/functions_upload.asp, line 110
I guess I’ll have to start posting on a more user
friendly site.
At my age time wasted is harder to take. I’ll try once
more in a couple of days with yet another method.

EDIT…
It is really pathetic that this site started requiring
down sizing our pictures so small a while back. Now It
won’t except a B&W 399x829 65.9 Jpeg photo in the
gallery. It will not except photo URLs from other sites.
Well I guess next we will have to out-source them to
China…

We shifted servers. All you need to do is report the error and I'll work it.
I learned the forum data was missing for the past year and restored that right? So now that I know there is an upload problem, I'm sure I will be able to fix it after investigating the cause.

Test worked.
Note: Many sites in today's world do not let you link to their photos (hotlink) because it uses their bandwidth everytime another site that a photo from their server is posted to is viewed. Therefore it is the site which contains the photos issues and not this site when it comes to posting URL links to photos. I tried several photos and some worked and others did not because the photo source site restricted such actions of posting their photo URLs.

As for the upload error, I've already discovered the required upload components on the server are not activated and therefore explains your error. Trouble tickets submitted and waiting for a resolution or alternative to fix the upload error.

Thanks for staying with the problems!…
Well I made two attempts at 9:00am cdt to up-load
pictures and attempted to delete one and failed. Here is
the pop-up I got…

I'll try again tomorrow.
I have three new photos of the Richard Halliburton and
the Sea Dragon. One has never been on the Internet, One
picture of millionaire Bob Topping and one of cowboy
actor Joel McCree in Hawaii.
BTW… I have posted those URLs on other sites and AFAICR
post ed one of them here before.

Yes we are still working on the issue. The error will continue until we get the upload module installed on the servers. I'll post when the installation is complete.

The first try failed and the pop up said
PHP Warning: getimagesize(): Filename cannot be empty in
G:\PleskVhosts\vebrohosts.com\nissanfrontier.org\wwwroot\
upload.php on line 9
Then I tried again and all 5 photos seem to up load OK.
But they didn’t show up in my gallery.
My gallery shows 65 items. The last one on the bottom
right I have no idea what it is and I have tried many
time to delete the two duplicates with no success. Are us
members limited to 65 pictures? I can delete a few if
need be,
I am ready to post up these 5 new photos on the Hawaiian
thread if I can find them.

Haven't yet linked it to the user gallery. First wanted to see if it works before I take the trouble of doing the code and linking process.
The automatic default location is a common folder at this time, but soon it will be auto uploaded to each users gallery. Your 5 files have been transferred http://www.nissanfrontier.org/forum_photos.asp?lakota
Also the first error says empty filename? Don't quite understand what went wrong there. Did you select a file for upload before hitting the upload button? Well good to see it worked there after.

I have no idea about the file name. I double checked that
it had one then did the others first...then it worked.
The nice thing is this new format allows photos more than
400 pixels. I like to post 800 wide or less for the folks
on dial-up. There are still places in the country where
dial-up is the only thing affordable.
I'll post the new photo shortly. I notice the Hawaiian
thread is still getting a lot of views. Do you know
why?...
