No more Nissan vehicles for me or my family! I have a 2007 Nissan Frontier with about 70K miles on it. Recently, the gas gauge started acting strange and the Check Engine light came on. Our local dealer (Buckeye Nissan) wants $713 to repair. After researching more, I learned that THOUSANDS of others have this same issue once the vehicle reaches 70K+ miles. Now, I can completely understand that a company can't warrant a vehicle forever. However, if the problem results from faulty parts or something in the manufacturing process, THEY SHOULD BE ACCOUNTABLE! This problem isn't occuring due to abnormal wear or abuse! What is it that the consumer can possibly be doing to cause the sensor to break? Why doesn't Nissan respond with a positive outcome for the many consumers effected by this issue? BOYCOTT NISSAN!

There is a recall for that concern, I don't recall the
exact yrs covered. Warranty pays 1.6 hrs for the repair, if
not covered it will be 2.1 hrs for the repair, customer
pay. The parts involved are less than $100, again from
memory. You do the math, sounds like the dealer is ripping
you royally!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately this problem is not limited to just Nissan vehicles.
