I have a scraping sound coming from the front left wheel when I turn left and sometimes when driving straight but goes away when turning right.

When I press the break it does not change.

Would the break pad getting low warning indicators do that?

NO. Sounds like a piece of gravel is caught between the
rotor and backing plate.
