Does Nissan have factory undercoating on any of the
Frontiers? I have a 1998 and am having terrible rusting
problems, live in the land of ice, snow and salt.
Need a new truck that won't rust up.

..

Nissan put a coat of something low on the body and then painted over it. It is not smooth like the rest of the paint The underbody doesn't seem to be coated. Back in 1962 I under coated car at a dealership. Cars didn't come from the factory with the coating.
The coating I applied was a rubbery-tar and probably added over 8o lbs to the cars.

My 1999 4x4 has zero rust. Move to central Texas... We are rust free here!

Toyotas rusted so bad Toyota had to buy a bunch of them back...

Good luck.. Don S
