I am sure this has been discussed but I do not see
search for the forum so here we go again.

Why not chains on the front tires?

Especially these Type S chains are so wimpy.

I just got a set and was surprised on how small of a
chain they are.

The last chains I bought fifty years ago were
"Canadian Link" chains and they stood 3/4" off the
tire and really grabbed.

So why not use them on the front tires? I will not be
going off road so they would only be used on
relatively smooth road. The clearance seems adequate!!
