I'm looking to do a little preventative maintenance on my 2006
frontier auto transmission for the radiator cross contamination
failures. A radiator replacement job will run around 600 bucks so
I'm looking at an external cooling option. Derale's 8000 series looks
good. Anyone have experience with that device or can an alternate
cooling option be recommended? Thanks....

Almost any cooling coil will work unless you're doing HD towing.
The trick is don't put it in front of the A/C core and the radiator... Why add heat to them???
Find a spot away from the mufflers under the bed.
