hi new here, i have a 2001 frontier 4x4 manual trans, it's
making a whining soung at highway speeds. i'm doing the
rear brakes now & when you turn the axle it's not smooth.
I pulled the axle & the bearing looks good, turns smooth,
so it has to be the diff. the question i have is will a
xetera rear end fit? i've found one at the local bone yard
pretty cheap, it has the same axle code HG46. is there
anything else i should look for? thanks....

The bone yard should have a cross reference to tell if
it will work or not. It may fit, but the ratio may be
different.
