So I just bought a used 2004 Nissan Frontier. The ride home which was 3.5hrs and all weekend the truck drove great. Yesterday while driving the truck. All the gauges dropped out and the truck was bucking and acting like it was going to stalling out. I pulled over and placed the truck in Park. I turned the A/C off and opened the windows. After a brief moment (couple seconds) the gauges responded and I proceeded to drive home without any problems. It did the very same this this morning going to work but this time the A/C was off. Could this be a battery or grounding strap problem?

May want to have the charging system checked along with
the belts, any cracks indicate they are dry and slipping
even though they will not squeal.

Common problem with 2003 and 2004 Frontier Clusters. We repair 1998 and 1999 as well. You can get it repaired here: Mr. Whizard
