I have 2011 Frontier 4x4 just hit 60k. Like to know what
threshold on changing AT fluid and filter. Never towed
heavy equip just Jet Ski....Would like to be proactive
but also not incur any unnecessary maintenance costs..

..

I'd sure look at a drain and filter but not a flush.
Just draining only gets about half or less but it's still IMHO a good idea!

Good Luck.. Don S..

For my '13 Frontier V6 2wd, the service interval is 30K/24 mo.  whichever come's first.  Just Drain and Fill, Don't Flush, unless a problem and recommended by Nissan.  Mine doesn't have a Filter to change out.  Be sure to use the correct type of AT Fluid.  Mine calls for NissanMatic S.  Check the Owner's Manual or Service Manual.  Be sure to Drive about 15 miles at Moderate Speed and recheck Fluid Level useing the prescribed method in the Service Manual, useing the "Hot Range".  The Service Manual is a Free Download.

Good Luck

When I did my fluid change at 60K, I dropped the tranny pan, and used brake
clean and sprayed it on the filter, it was a wire mesh kind. It was very clean to
begin with. I also removed minor shavings from the pan plug.

Also took 3 quarts to refill.
