I am currently having a problem with my VDC and Slip lights coming on while
driving. My truck will run fine and when i come to a stop the VDC and slip
lights will come on and stay on, then when i go to accelerate the motor will spit
and sputter like i am running out of gas. If i pull over and turn the truck off then
let it sit for a few minutes and restart i can get it to run normal as long as i
hurry up and get it in gear and start moving. Also when i am approaching a
stop, if i put the transmission in neutral and keep the RPMs above 1000 i can
keep it from happening. Im not sure where to begin here and if i take it to a
dealer I'm afraid they will want a lot of money to fix this issue. Any advice
would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the group!

My '99 Frontier that I bought new came with every thing available at the time.
But what are VDC and Slip lights?

Please state Frontier year and engine etc.

Maybe others can help.

Hopefully.. Don S..

It is a 2011 frontier sv 4x4 v6, the VDC is vehicle dynamic control and the slip
light is an indicator that lets you know the rear wheels are spinning and it
reduces the power from the engine to keep it from spinning

Oh! I didn't know.

Well I use my ears for one sensor but I do have a tach and my right foot to control the other.

I'm waiting for the automatic oil and filter changer…

Good Luck.. Don S..

Possible wheel sensor has gone bad. At least have the
dealer scan it to see what DTC's are present.
