Know this has been done to death, but:

I've had 3 Tacomas but feel like Toyota has "broken up" with me. Their prices are insane, the dealers are obnoxious and I'm not buying for resale value, I'm buying to drive until it dies. They also rarely offer manual transmissions.

I can no longer justify the money on a 2007 or newer Taco... Tell me why I should think Frontier. (I need a 4X4 manual and am _very_ hard on what I own).

Gimme some insight here. Resale value has 0 meaning to me, only function.

(has to be 2007 or newer for financing purposes)

..

Consumers Report (which I have faith in) doesn't think much of the Taco or the Frontier. The Tundras have been rated pretty good for a while but they are way to big for my use.

I'll keep my '99 Frontier.. Don S..
