I replaced the master cylinder and a wheel cylinder on my 2001 Frontier XE 3.3L 4x4 mt. Now I need to bleed the system and the FSM tells me to disconnect the wire harness and the order in which to bleed the brakes at the wheels and to finish with the ABS actuator.
But for the life of me I can't see how I'm supposed to bleed the ABS unit. I can disconnect all lines without ruining them and there is a torx screw on the side that I guess could be a bleeder, but given the price of these things I don't feel like experimenting.
If it helps, the part number for my ABS unit is 47660-7Z700.
Can anyone tell me the correct way of bleeding the ABS actuator?

Sorry I can't help you with that.
The last brakes I have bled and the newest was my 76 wagganeer.
Hope someone comes up with the answer. I may want to do that also.

Bit of an update for those interested:
I have some breaks again. After bench bleeding the mc again (on vehicle this time) and bleeding and re-bleeding everything there was a little improvement, but not much. I decided to try and bleed the ABS unit by cracking the lines and bleeding them through the threads.
I'm now pretty sure there is no air in the system, the pedal goes hard without the engine running and I can make the truck skid and have it kick in the ABS on a snowy road. Just did that on a downhill, between the grade and the snow I had the ABS kick in for about 60'. Hopefully enough to have some fluid move around. Now back to bleeding everything again as per FSM.
Oh yeah, I also adjusted the push rod to have only 3/8" free play. Didn't seem to do much once the engine fires up and the pedal goes soft again.
I'm going to try an emergency stop on pavement tonight. Too many people around during the day to do that safely.

Some trucks have a device in the brake line half way back to the rear. I'm stuck in a wheelchair and can't go look at my 99. I'm also celebrating my 33rd year in the AARP so the memory is stating to get fuzzy. It might be called a compensator. I do remember it made bleeding much more difficult. I might be able to work again so I'm very interested.
