Hey Guy's,

It was time to Wash and Wax my Frontier Friday.

I use the Cheap Walmart Brand Wash and Wax, but use about
1/3 gallon to a Bucket of Water.I usually just let dry in
the Garage and Wax a day or so later.

For the Wax, I've use Meguiar's #6 Mirror Glaze Cleaner
Wax for Year's and Year's. For the Price it's the Easiest
and Best that I know of. Ebay has the 64 oz for under 24
$'s, Free shipping/Free Return's. The price was so low
that I got 2. The seller show's 7 left, so they won't
last long.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Meguiars-M0664-Liquid-Cleaner-
Wax-64-Oz/401212947133?
hash=item5d6a27babd:g:croAAOSwx2dYDk79

I just put it on Thick All Over and by that time it is
usually Dry where I started putting it on. I use a Terry
Cloth Medium Size Towel to wipe the Haze off. Very Easy
and Shine's good IMO. I don't worry about getting it on
the Plastic or Rubber Part's cause I use Armorall on those
and work's great to clean off the Wax and Keep those
part's from drying out and Cracking.

I use Regular Armorall Wipe's and Regular Armorall with
the Hand Pump on all the Exterior Plastic and Rubber
Part's includeing the Headlight Len's, TailLight Lens, &
Tire's.

I've heard bad thing's about the pressurized armorall
haveing extra chemical's that cause dry out problem's, so
I just use the hand pump original and original wipe's.

I'm not saying that the Meguiar's #6 is the Best, but it's
the Easiest & Best that I know of for the Price.

Regard's

I have to do that soon also.  There are a bunch of good washes around.  As long as no one uses dish detergent.

I use Rain-X all the time.  In some storms, I don't even have to turn on wipers.

You been ok?

Hey Jim,

Very True, don't use Dish Washing Liquid. Same with mine,
The Wash/Wax cause's the Rain to Roll off the Windshield
quickly without haveing to use the Wiper's except in heavy
rain.

When I had the '93 Hardbody for 20 year's, I didn't Wax it
as much as I should have, and the Paint on the Hood and
Top showed the oxidation.

Truck's are a lot more expensive now,, so I'm trying to
take better care of the Paint by Waxing every 3 to 4
month's. The Mequiar's #6 also remove's Lite oxidation,
and it's really easy to use, which help's me a lot.

The Regular Armorall Liquid and Wipe's really help's to
put the moisture back into the plastic's to keep them from
drying out and rotting.

Been doing ok so far,, but my hair is getting longer cause
I'm afraid to get a Hair Cut.

Don't forget about the Neoprene Seat Cover's. I just read
about a fellow that now regret's about not useing seat
cover's cause he has worn a hole in the OE Seat
Upholstery. It's a lot easier to replace seat cover's
than the OE Seat upholstery.

It's about time for me to change the oil and rotate the
Tire's. When I rotate the tire's I wash them on the
inside, wax the wheel's inside and armorall the tire's
inside.

Regards,

I am trying to get out and do fluid check/changes, but nature does not want to cooperate.

It is either storming or scalding hot.  No pleasant car working on temps at all.

Jim,

Yep, it's that way with me too. It's either Too Cold, Too
Hot, Too Wet, etc.

For the Hot Weather I got a 30" Fan on a Pedestal from
Harbor Freight about 15 year's ago. Not as good as an Air
Conditioned Garage, but it's a Whole Lot better than No
Breeze Hot Air.

https://www.harborfreight.com/30-inch-pedestal-shop-fan-
47755.html

Harbor Freight still has those Fan's; Over 1400 Review's
so pretty popular. From time to time they have them for
about 100 $'s. Down here in the Deep South worth every
penny to me.

Regards,

Thanks Barn, I think they have a smaller foot print than those box fans I use.  More adjustable at that.

Thanks again.  Be well.

Jim,

I looked at them all before I bought the 30" Pedestal from
Harbor Freight. One thing that I like about it is up High
and seem's to really throw the Air Good, and I like the 3
speed's.

Also another thing that help's me a lot whether Hot Summer
Time or Cold Winter time is a Good Job Site Radio. With
the Radio on I don't seem alone and I like the music and
take's my mind off of the Hot Heat or the Cold.

This is the one that I got cause I have DeWalt 18V
Cordless Driver's; DeWalt DC012

https://www.amazon.com/DEWALT-7-2V-18V-Battery-Charger-
DC012/dp/B002S56S5Q/ref=sr_1_3?
dchild=1&keywords=dewalt+dc012&qid=1591653444&sr=8-3

It's also a Charger Radio that has a Smart Charger for the
Dewalt 18v batterie's.

I liked it so much that I got one for inside the house
too. They don't make them anymore so only what is in the
Warehouse's are available.

They also sell them on EBay and may very well may be at a
lower cost. Don't get used or Refurbished IMO or the "CL"
which is the California Only Model.

DeWalt also has the DCR015 for the 20V Cordless Tool's. I
could have gotten it but chose the DC012 over it. IF/When
I go to 20V, I can get a separate 20V charger for them.

Regards,

I have to go to Harbor Freight to take back jack stands, the recall ones.  No problems here, but better safe than sorry.

Going to look at the fan.  Hope it will fit in my garage.

Jim,

I think I have a set of those Jack Stand's too. I probly
should take mine back as well, but if I do, I'll need
another set of Aluminum Stand's to take their place.
Especially now, cause I'm about to rotate the Tire's.

I guess somebody saw my post cause Amazon had 13 of those
DC012 and only one left when I just checked.

I just got a new 7" 11 amp Angle Grinder from Northern
Tool and just put in an order for the Grinder Wheels,
Cutoff Wheel's, and 4" Twisted Knot Wire Cup's; I got a
few of each and they cost more than the Grinder did with
the Shipping/Tax. I'll use the Bigger Angle Grinder for
preping the Tractor Equipment for painting and bigger
cutting and Grinding job's.

I've accumulated a Whole lot of Tool's over the year's and
i plan on giveing what I've got to my 2 Nephew's when I
kick the Bucket. The majority of my tool's are from
Harbor Freight so I blame them for my delima.

While you are in Harbor Freight take a look at their 20
gallon part's washer. I've had mine about as long as my
30" Fan, & it's one of my most used tool's. When/If it
bite's the dust I'll be 1st in line to get another'n.

Regards,

Sounds like you are getting set for some fun.

I looked at the numbers on the stands and they don't seem to be in the recall.  My son is the only one that has ever used them.  He has a Ram 1500 he has had them on.  He thinks there is something wrong with them anyway.

All I need is a little "finger ratchet" in 1/4 in.

Also have to fix my daughters computer too.  New HDD, fan, and video card.  So this week will be fun.
