I need to replace the pinion seal on my rack & pinion.
Unfortunately, the seal is inside a nut called a pinion
bearing plug. It is a 7-sided screw-in housing, which I
cannot find the correct tool to remove it. I would also
like to know what replacement seal to order. Can anyone
help?

The Genuine Nissan Service Manual might show the
breakdown of the Part that you are looking for, as well
as the tool's needed in that Section of the manual.

Just Google Genuine Nissan 2005 Frontier Service Manual.
There are some Free Download's as well.

I was unable to locate an online tool so I measured the
seal cap and asked a machinist friend to make me one out of
4140 steel. The cap was removed easily with a short 3/8"
drive breaker bar. I have been unsuccessful in uploading
any images. I attempted to as both small JPEG and GIF but
no luck. If you need a copy of the drawing, message me. ;)
