im not 100% here but i believe it doesnt matter what the tire pressure is as long as it sees the same +/- 5 psi i run my tires at 60psi and no light has ever come on. when i got my truck the light was on and the tires were at 28 so it could come on anything lower than that im not sure.

You also have to drive some distance after inflating the tires and it stay consistent for it to turn off. The light just won't turn off as soon as you top up the air. I can't recall the distance, 15 miles / 25km I think.

I drove it for a while at 35 psi and then it got colder out then the light went out.

I will just check my tires like I always did,  with a tire gauge.

Air to specs and then drive over 16 MPH for a short distance. Turn off the vehicle and restart. The light should be out.
