Question for technicians and ex-technicians:
My battery voltage drops to 12.3 volts after it has been chilling out for a day or so.  One of our readers suggested it was time for a new one.  If the weather got VERY cold, might I be up s**t's creek without a paddle?  Thanks.  2005 Frontier V-6 Crew Cab.

..

hotajax;

I have three Optima Red Top gel-cells (four years old) and all always are about 12.3Vdc at rest. Normal liquid acid batteries seem to rest at about 12.6Vdc.

Have a good one while you can still laugh about it.. Don S..

Why are Democrapes are giving billions to incompetent Wall-Streeters so they can give themselves millions in rewards? The answer is ugly!

Sounds like I might NOT need to drop the $80.00 for a new battery?
