I am looking to buy a 2005 Frontier. Just wanted to know what people on the forum thought about it? Good buy? Bad Buy? I know it's a little high on the miles but I don't drive more than about 8k a year so I figure it will be right on in a few years. The question I have is will it last that long? What things should I look for when I go look at it? I've never owned a Frontier but my brother has a 2007 Xterra and I drove it for a month and loved it. The price is right on for the miles without the modifications. I was thinking about offering 1k less cash. The Craigslist link in below. Thanks

Just my opinion, but the price seems awful high for an 05.
The pictures are deceptive with the glare from the sun, too
bad he didn't have it positioned so the sun was behind him.
Two main concerns are the radiator cooler allowing coolant
into the trans fluid and the secondary timing chain
tensioner shoes are prone to wear through creating a "whine
" noise as the rpm's increase.

Another safety call back is the computer. It dies and the truck stops. Another on fuel gages.

My '05 was excellent. It had these problems. I like Frontiers. My first one lastt several hundred thou. These things are pretty solid. That's why I am on my 4th fronty right now.
