I'm looking to buy new tires for my 09 Frontier 4x4 . (265/70/16), is it okay to go up a size or does this cause problems ? What is the next size up ?? Also does anyone have good or bad to say about the Gforce chip ? Is this a waste of money ? Any advise is greatly appreciated !!!

My advice is to stick with the stock size, but that is just
my opinion. The Gforce chip is basically an expensive
resister to fool the IAT(intake air temp) senor into
thinking the air is cooler thus richens the fuel mixture.
Sounds like "magic" to me!!!

ahh yes the ole G-Force chip... i should post my research
into that "company" as my signature, but then I'd be
breaking the rules for signature length. Save your time
and money, you'll need it for gas the way prices are
creeping up again.

As for tires, unless you plan on doing some serious off
roading i'd stick with stock tire size

I always went up to 265/75 R16's when I had 16" wheels and never noticed a difference. I run through the desert daily on dirt and like the load range E because they seem to last longer and are tougher. I don't like the passenger car tires that all the manufacturers put on their trucks. Any bigger than the 265/75 and you'll need a bump.
