Well, after 7 years , I decided to trade in the Fronty.  It had become a garage queen as I was driving my diesel Passat more and more.  But since that is really my wife's car, I bought a diesel VW Sportwagon today to replace the Fronty.  So now I am taking trips at well over 50 mpg in the Passat and hopefully close to 50 mpg in the Sportwagon.

It has been great interacting with everyone on here.  You have all been more helpful that you probably realize and I thank all of you for that.

Take care and God bless all.

..

But Please don't go completely away... We will miss you.

I sold our Grand Cherokee ten tears ago and I still go to
the forum. I sold our 76 Wagoneer three years ago and
still visit those forums twice a day and still a
moderator at one.

The differents is there is a lot of non vehicle chit chat
that causes lasting friendships to develop at these other
forums.
Our activity level is now so low that even the spammers
has avoided us

Have a good one.. Don S..

Take Care Boomer!
I hear the Titan will have a diesel 2015, and Frontier 2016 both by Cummins.

I found that the truck was not really the vehicle I wanted.  I used it heavily to move to State College 4 years ago and then for several large trips, one a hunting trip to Canada.  But the cost to operate was getting higher and higher with fuel prices.  Even a disel Fronty would not give me 50 mpg highway.  So I am now tooling around in a diesel SpaortWagen...very nice and fits my needs to a T.  It allows me to drive around with much lower fuel costs .

Fronty at 19  mpg on regular gas at $3.76 equals $0.19/mile.

Fronty at 22 mpg on hi-test gas at $4.09 equals $0.186/mile

SportWagen at 50 mpg on diesel at $4.19 equals $0.083/mile
