I read some professional reviews on Edmunds.com and the Frontier rated well.  However, the site also mentioned that the Frontier was in high demand and that you should expect to pay the TMV price that Edmund list.

My question, is this true?  I test drove a Frontier this past weekend in Kansas City and the dealer had more than a dozen Frontier vehicles on the lot (probably more).  When comparing this vehicle to a Tacoma, the Toyota dealers don't  have any and the Nissan dealer seem to be well supplied.

In my opinion,  I should be expecting to pay less than the MSRP Price listed for a Frontier, but what are your experiences?

I guess it really depends upon the area.  There hasn't really been that many sold here.  Titans and Armadas go pretty quick here.  But we also get alot of snow during the winter.  I know back in TN, the frontiers do go pretty quick.

Also remember that's edmund's opinion.  Do the usual bit if you want a good deal.  Wait till the end of the month when the dealer is looking to makes it qouta.  That's how I got a great deal on my Toyota Highlander.

An even better time is the end of the year.  A dealership is always looking to make a good deal.

I just picked mine up for under dealer invoice.  I paid $18,355 for it and picked up the ext. warranty 5yr 100k for 1100.  I got employee pricing because my neighbor works for the dealership.  I got a SE KC with 16" aluminum alloys and floor mats and an automatic tranny.  I was looking at all the mid size trucks and the Nissan was the best deal.  I could of got a pre-runner with an auto for $22,400 but your talking $4k more for a truck that has less horsepower and doesn't come in smoke grey!

Here in Shreveport, I've noticed they are starting to show up more and more.

I bought the NISMO because toyota has the market for mid size trucks, therefore they can charge whatever they want. I can't say that I really like the body style on the tacoma that much any how... it's not rugged like the new frontier.

When I bought my truck, I went with all the bells and whistles so I paid $500 over dealer invoice, which is pretty good considering that was my first offer. I should have gone with $250 over to start but what is a $250 difference when you're talking about $25K? Nissan seems to be really good about marking their vehicles for what they are worth, they aren't using their name to mark up the price.. hell, I checked out the 05 Colorado and to have it set up like the NISMO it would have been $32K before tax and licensing.... What is that? Not to mention the I-5 is way under powered compared to the power house in the 05 Fronty. Kid Mil, I think the fronty sells so well in TN because that's where it's made... of course you'd think I could get a good deal on the colorado here in Shreveport because they are built here but with chevy, you pay for the bow tie and it's like that with many of the competitors. Okay, I'm done now.

Hey everyone, new member here.

Just bought an 05 SE Crew Cab, got it for $100 over invoice.  I'm in Dallas and there are several dealers with plenty of inventory available.  It's a great truck, but there's plenty of supply so I'd say Edmunds is way off base.  Just do your research online, find invoice and offer them that up front and go from there.

Just picked up my 05 LE Crew Cab for $150 over invoice.

The only problem I had was trying to find a black with dark grey interior.  for some reason no dealers within a 50 mile radius had one......but i ended up getting my baby.
