does anyone know where i can find information on the specs for the 2001 CC SE 2wd 6 in dash changer cd player/stereo specs...specifically just how much power per channel it runs typcially...as far as i know it's not the rockford fosgate system...because i believe that was only available in the S/C's at the time. I do have the 6 in dash factory stereo tho. i'm just looking to find out so i  can match some speakers for my truck.

I can't tell you the specs, but I know my H/U was able to run Pioneer Premier 6 1/2 speakers in mine.

i found the specs last night at a nissan website, i think all the ones besides the rockford fosgate system which i'm not sure was listed on the site...all seem to be 100 wat systems so i'm gonna guess that it's 4x25 per channel, i could be wrong but that would make sense to me since my brother told me that 6.5" speakers seems to be the norm in most nissan vehicles (excluding premium non-stock systems...i.e. Rockford Fosgate systems)

yeah...my brother and i arent' very impressed with pioneers, my brother less so than me..so i'm leaning towards alpine or kenwood 6.5's and a single 8 or 10 inch sup perhaps, depending on the bass response i get, i don't want people to hear my truck before they see it, but i do like nice full bass sounds in a system.

If I might make a small suggestion....  Memphis M-Class.  This babies cover the full range, and have the best sounding mids and lows I've heard, the high end is decent, but I believe that to be because of the M-Class's low range capability.

And they sound even so much better powered by a amp.  www.memphiscaraudio.com

I have Clarion in my Maxima, and they sound awesome.  But they have more treble than bass, though there is some thump.

ok next question..i was shoppin for some speakers to replace the factory speakers all around in my truck, w/ the exception of hte tweeters...and crutchfield.com said that the fronts are 6.5" with the capacity for 6.75" in the front and the rears are 4"? is that right? and if so..can they be easily replaced by a larger size. thnx...

I could have sworn the rears were 6x9s... but if crutchfield is calling for 4", they could be right.

I haven't taken apart the trim in CC, so I couldn't tell you if you had anymore room.

Also, if you go Memphis, I would recommend getting the set with the tweeters.  It's amazing how much clearer those are compared to stock.
