Looking for a oil filter wrench for my 2019 4 cylinder
frontier. I bought a 65 mm wrench (cap type) from NAPA
but it was too loose and keeps slipping. I tried to do
my first oil change but the factory had the filter on
really tight. I couldn't get it off. Any suggestions
on find the right wrench?

Herb,

When I first got my 2013, I took a New Nissan Filter
down to the Parts Store, I think that it was Advanced
and got the Filter Socket/Wrench that fit the Tightest.

If you go on EBay you'll find different type's of
Filter Wrench's to use. On my Tractor I use a Band
Type that has different hole's to change the Band Size
and that type work's good too. there are several other
type Oil Filter Wrench's as well.

My advice is to stay with a Geniune Nissan Oil Filter.
I've Found them On Amazon and EBay at the Lowest
Price's. I had a '93 4cyl Hardbody that I drove for 20
year's, alway's used a Geniune Nissan Oil filter, and
when I sold it,, the Engine was still smooth and quiet.
On my '13 V6 I only use a Nissan Oil Filter and My
Engine is also Smooth and Quiet. I hear lot's of
post's from owner's that don't use a Nissan Filter and
their Motor's make noise.

Also I advise to follow the Breakin Period like Nissan
advise's to do in the Owner's Manual, especially
keeping the RPM's Down, No quick takeoff's, and try to
be lite on the Brake's.

Hope you get good service with your New Frontier.

Regards,

Barney

Much THANKS for the advice and I'll check around to find
the right fit.

I'll take it easy during the break in period.

Herb
