I got my frontier a year ago brand new, started towing 3 months ago,
3000 lbs trailer. Today I was picking up my trailer and the three bolts
holding the drivers side of the mounting bracket were gone. I had to
buy 3 bolts and install before I could hook up. I am sure they have
been slowly loosening up. Scary and yet also thankful it did not cause a
serious accident. Anybody else come across this? I am under warranty
and I hope they got some answers.

Well, they have to order the factory bolts even though they were able to
torque the ones I purchased. I am accepting nothing less. They have
never heard of this happening to anyone. If anything, don't take it for
granted towing, check everything for your safety.
