I have a reoccuring problem.  I get this suttle rattling coming from under the glovebox area.  It's been in to the dealer twice for this. The first time they totally said they fixed it, but didn't.  The second time they fixed it and it was good for about 3 months.  Now it's coming back, not as bad as before, but in time it will be.

Anyone else have this problem?

hey man, dont feel bad... i am a first time truck owner right out of owning an extremely refined audi quattro..... when i test drove it at the dealership everything was nice and dandy.... 2 weeks later, the tapping, rattling and squeaking noises started from everywhere imaginable,  hood stops, door pannels, dashboard, etc. and that is a brand new 2007 we are talking about here....had most of it fixed, but i know they will come back...trucks are  just all powertrain and not much anything else ... or at least compared to audi....all i can tell you is turn up the radio, and take pride in owning a truck

I have a 2004 with a rattle behind the glove box too.  I took it back several times during the warranty period... got the jerk-off from Nissan, never got it fixed in the end.  Do you know what it was that they found going on behind your glove box?  An old work order perhaps?

I'll find out the exact problem the next time I take it in.  I'll tell you this much much, if you reach under the glove, there is a box of some sort.  If you grab it, and hold it really tight. the rattle will stop. Something about a nut or loose behind it. My Maxima is 10 years old and doesn't have one damn shake rattle or roll from the interior.

Any update on where exactly that rattle is?  (maybe you haven't taken it in for servicing yet?...)

Sorry dude, I just looked at the work order while outside. Should have brought it inside with me, too cold to go back out.  Whatever it was they did to fix it the first time didn't last for long. I'm taking it in tomorrow if I have time.  When I get it back, I will be sure to update you.  In the mean time, if I can remember to bring in the old work order tomorrow, I will post it for you.
