There is a recommended interval to changing the oil in the Super Charger.  Exactly what that is should be in the owner's manual.  A dealership that tells you that you don't need to change oil in the S/C is one waiting for it to seize up and get more money out of you.

Checked the service manual - does not mention any service for the super charger. I've had them off before, never noticed any place for oil.

No mention of it in the service manual.

This is an old thread now, but still topical even critical for the now few of us still sportin' S/C Frontiers, so I'm posting the obvious to some, if not all now, response to bolster information regarding our Eaton M62 superchargers at this forum.

Yes, the small Torx plug, just to the left of the pulley stalk while standing in front of the truck looking in, is the fill/drain port.  It's also the fill mark and the front nose cone that it supports uses nearly all of the 8oz GM Supercharger oil that is available for these units.  This specialty oil can be purchased from many super/tubo charger specialty shops including Pulley Boyz.

Torx Drain/Fill Plug Port

One could purchase a syringe necessary to remove the old oil, but I have seen others have done quite well with re-purposed spray bottle nozzles dipping the pick-up tube deep into the port.  I've found no mention of the useful life of this oil and prescribed change interval, but one would suspect it would eventually degrade and be of little use, especially if you were to say bolt up a reduced S/C pulley on a now 7 or 8 year old truck with over 80,000.

Best,
Mark S
