Hell all,

So the truck won't turn over. It could be jumped and I drove around for an hour thinking maybe the battery just needed to be charged but nope. As soon as I turned the truck off and tried to start it no luck. It clicks quickly but no engine turn over what so ever.  So I jumped it again and took it auto zone. They tested the battery and it is fully charged, the alternator was reading average voltage but they said it should be reading higher...

Now the truck can't even be jumped.
I checked the connections on alternator and starter and they are tight and do not look corroded. I also checked the fuses and they are intact.

It has about 110,000 miles on it. 01, V6, 2 wheel drive.

Any ideas?

DO I buy a new alternator or starter?

Do not ASSUME the terminals are clean by looking-remove and clean- Did you try jumping the starter positive and the solenoid terminal? Also when you jump start be sure of good connections on both ends. Also have someone hold the key to the start position while someone taps on the starter with a long extension-if it starts, you will need a starter, assuming the battery and alt are up to par.< id="gwProxy" ="">< ="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" ="">
