I just fixed installed my TPS and got my truck back to normal. It drives and shifts good. It has just one problem when I take off it has a lag sometimes and when Im on the highway usually when the RPMs are higher that 3000 it jumps and falls. But when I get on it its fine. Please help me.

I had a similiar issue, ended up being the MAF (mass air flow sensor), does your check engine light come on?

I checked it it seems good I did the tap it while its on check and no my check engine light aint on. When you changed it was it better?

I paid attention to it today it was like more when it shifted it will hold a high idle before it shifts. Sometimes it wont shift stays within 3000 rpms only sometimes when it warms up its good. This is really irritating. Someone please help

There is about 20 steps involved in replacing and adjusting a TPS and relearning all the parameters.. Might want to take it to your dealer for the proper adjustments.< id="gwProxy" ="">< ="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" ="">

i had my mechanic do it and he scanned it Mass air flow sensor isnt bad i dont think. ANy other thoughts

Did your mechanic do all the procedures involved in changing the TPS????< id="gwProxy" ="">< ="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" ="">

its kind of when it shifts only in that second gear then it rises then falls back to normal. When I get on it it does fine. which is causing me bad gas mileage. Any other suggestions

Scanning and doing the correct procedure are two different things. When the TPS is replaced, there is a series of adjustments and relearns that HAVE to be done for the results to be correct!< id="gwProxy" ="">< ="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" ="">
