Wouldn't hurt to check them. Power train warranty is 5yrs/60K miles.

My 2007 has done this since new.  Have 31,000 miles on it now, no prblem.  What you are hearing is just gear lash in the diff.  I have the C200 rear.

I have a 2008 Frontier crew cab and it does exactly the very saem thing. When you feather the throttle and apply it again you get the clunk.

I got it seen as Nissan and they reported nothing,as the previous poster said it is lash in the rear diff.

Nothing to worry about but send it to the dealer to be sure and tell them exactly what your hearing and let us know here what their explanation is?

Is it a clunk or a snapping type sound? Seen a couple of Titans with play in the rear diff pinion splines, you can actually get a double snap type sound when changing from drive to rev and accelerating lightly. Going to replace the rear diff assy to correct concern.

it is more of a clunk. more noticeable under 45mph. I notice it when you left off the accelerator then accelerate. I took it to my dealer and they said it is a normal noise. They drove another new one and one with 30k on it with the the same noise. I am not really happy with it but I keep seeing and hearing this is the norm. should I stress the rear axle to be replaced? Oh this dealer I do work for.
