Hi everybody,

I have a 2008 Frontier 4x4 V6 and I am looking to see if there is an outside temperature gauge, sensor available either OEM or aftermarket?

Has anybody ever fiited 1 and if so where was it sourced. I travel into the Olympic Mountains and the Cascades a lot here in Washington State and I would like to know outside air temperature to see it its freezing or not so I can take precautions.

We have a 2006 CR-V and it has its own factory fitted temp gauge and its invaluable!!

Any help would be appreciated?

You can purchase the inside rear view mirror that contains a compass and ambient temp read out. Ask your local dealer or do a search.

I checked out the price from a supplier and they want $250 plus tax for a mirror and it comes with a compass.

Is there any other cheaper type outside temperature gauge than that would anybody know??

you could use an inside/outside digital thermometer made for your home as well.  They are compact, CHEAP, can be mounted on your dash with a piece of double sided tape, and simple to install.  They run off batteries that last forever, and the actual thermometer is at the end of a long wire you could route thru your firewall.  Walmart probably sells them.

Or check out this wireless one I just found:
