Recently purchased a green 98 frontier xe 4x4.  Truck is in great shape.  Noticed a problem driving the other night.  All lights seem to surge.  My thinking is maybe the votage regulator in the alternator is bad or going bad?  Truck doesn't do it without the engine started so don't think it's a short in wiring and being all lights are doing it kinda points me to alternator?  Looking for any feedback, I'll probally yank it off and have O reiyly's test it.  Just seeing if anyone else has seen this problem?

Sounds like a good place to start.

Looks like it was the ground on the alternator, the 10-12 gauge crimp is a little small need to get a little larger one but did fix the problem, reckon it wasn't getting enough amps at low idle.
