05 Nizmo Crew Cab 4x4 102,000 Mi

(Issue 1) Check Engine Light has come on and had it checked at Auto Zone with a code of P0430

Catalyst system efficiency below threshold- bank 2
Probable cause.
1) Large Vacuum Leak
2) Fuel System Fault
3) Ignition System Fault
4) Failed Bank 2 Catalytic Converter

Also noticed fuel mileage has dropped about 15% with this.
Any suggestions on what to replace?  AZ told me more than likely the Oxygen sensor needs to be replaced bank 2 or the second sensor downstream.  I have also been reading on here the the catalytic converter might also be the culprit.

Issue 2  Cabin Hot Cold Switch while the heater is being used doesn't work correctly.  Its only boiling hot or cold with no in between temperature adjustment.  I had the Nissan dealer look at this while under warranty and was told it was a transistor and they replaced it in the spring of 10 along with AC issue.  They told me the transistor will fix both problems.   The AC works fine but the temp control with the heater still does not work correctly.  Have to turn it back and forth a couple of times just to get it from becoming a sweat-house inside the cab then within 5-10mins you go to an ice cube.  Any help????

#1 P0430 the left TW cat needs to be replaced. Are you
using a genuine Nissan oil impregnated air filter???
#2 possible control unit or actuator motor. It's not auto
A/C is it? If it is, possible ambient air sensor concern.

1) I've been using the air filter for the past 50,000 miles and I also just replaced the IPDM about a month ago.  If it was a bad cat wouldn't I have the rotten egg smell?  For the heck of it I changed the plugs over the weekend and this morning no check engine light.  Plugs had about 30,000 miles on them and also ordered a O2 sensor to replace before I spend over 1000 bills at the dealer to replace cat.

2) I do not have Auto A/C so not the ambient air sensor my A/C works fine and the temp switch works good with the a/c.  It's only with the heater.

Haven't experienced the rotten egg smell in years. The cats
come apart internally is the failure. Plugs are good for
105K. O2 sensor will not correct a P0430 condition.

Having this same problem Diagnostic posted po430 so i took it to the Dealer they said it was the Cat and O2 sensor and thet are both covered under warranty for 80,000 so they changed them i drove my truck home. Went out an hour later to start it and it wont start just trys to turn over now im thinking its either Fuel or Ignition Recall..back to the Dealer i guess
