Hi,

I hear a grinding sound when I shift from 2wd to 4wd on the fly. I'm wondering if the truck is simply not meant to go from 2wd to 4wd on the fly. I do not have the owners manual to look it up. Any info greatly appreciated.

thanks

The owners manual states that you can, I always preferred
to be stopped, trans in park, wheels straight ahead. The
noise may also be coming from an auto hub that is
malfunctioning. The 4X4 instructions should be on the
drivers sun visor.
