I've noticed my e brake is not as" grippy" as it should be..is there
anyway I could adjust/tighten as a beginner level fix?I Know the
basics of cars and not much more. Thanks!

Remove the rear wheels, you will find a rubber plug on the
brake rotor, remove it, look inside for the adjuster wheel
and adjust.
