Im not a huge car guy but I was wondering what exactly is clutch
chatter and what does it mean. A buddy of mine borrowed my truck
and said it sounded like it had a slight clutch chatter. 6 spd by the
way if that matters

..

Clutch chatter is avibration or jerkyness that happens when you let out the clutch peddle to engage the clutch. There could be several causes including diver usage, worn linkage, bad motor mounts, play in the running gear and problems in the bell housing and clutch.

Good luck.. Don S..

Thanks! I don't notice vibration or anything like that when I drive..just
a smooth shift..maybe it's his driving that's the issue such as if he
dumps the clutch or gets back into the gas too fast. Prob the last
time I let him borrow it..lol
