Ive done a search to make sure I am not posting a problem already resolved.

I purchased a 2005 NISMO 4X4, it had 100 miles on it when I purchased it but I got a real good deal

Anyway, when I shift from PARK to Drive or Reverse it results in a drive line clunk, even from drive to reverse and reverse to drive- is this drive line lash? I dont know if this is normail? sometimes it is louder than other times and other times I dont even notice it. I am reallt concerned-

I get no answers from the dealer ship besides "everything is fine"

Thanks for any help

If if concerns you that much (some vehicles do have a slight clunk) check the drivline U-joints.  You can easily turn the shaft and look for any play (usually one portion of the shaft will rotate more than another part causing a weird angle)

Another possibility is the rear differential, play in there will cause a clunking noise as the pinion turns and contacts the ring gear.

It may be leaf spring warp. Can be cured be adding helper springs in front of the rear axel. It took my clunk away. Go here for the dicussion
