When it is hot outside the AC won't turn on sometimes, it
only blows hot air..
In the morning when cool it runs fine and is nice and cold.
When it is hot (100 or so) it will just blow hot air for X
amount of time (maybe 45 minutes driving down the freeway)
and then all of sudden start working fine.
Thoughts?

..
The last time that happened to me (on a different brand
car)the moisture in the evaporator core froze and that
stopped the AC compressor for quite a while. Operating at a
lower setting reduced the problem along with not using
outside air.
Good Luck.. Don S..

There is an intake sensor on the evap assy that will cause
this concern when defective.
