on my 04 frontier. when im turning or going over bumps i
have a loud pop. i have checked every nut and bold under
the truck. i have new upper and lower ball joints. new
idler, center link, inner and outer tie rod ends. new sway
bar bushings. possible tb bar???? thanks

I had one like that when the frame was double off camber,
turning full to the right and I hit the brakes. Never did
figure it out but it went away. There was a thread here a
few years ago about popping noises and I think someone
may
have figured it out.

its when im turning into a parking spot or into my
neighborhood, so im not at full lock, and my upper and
lower ball joints are new. idler arm center link innere and
outer tie rods are new.. ive put chasis ears on it and
didnt help in finding where it was coming from. every where
i had them it made a pop noise lol.

Are the front hubs automatic and are you positive they
are un-locked?
Many vehicles have what used to be known as an oil can
pop. We on longer have (motor)oil cans so I don't know
what to call it. It is rare to actually find one But I
have fixed several of them. The fix is to put a dent of
two in the under body in the area you suspect with a ball
peen hammer then cover the dent with undercoating so it
can't be seen.


Well the popping noise has been taken care
of for now. The dealer claimed they had never heard a
noise like that before and could not figure out what was
causing it. So they took a Torque wrench though the front
end and retightened every nut and bolt. Like I said its
quite for now.
