05 with 120k miles runs great. never changed plugs. throwing a p0430 code
I have not noticed a decrease in mileage or performance.
after i change plugs if the code continues can i remove the converter with out any truck issues

well p0430 is bank 2 converter. check the af sensor for
bank 2 make sure its reading properly.and your down stream
o2 sensor. if they arent fried then its your converter. im
not aware of any ecu reprograms for that code in the 05.
but it is time to do plugs.
