Anyone know of the two heater hoses at the firewall, which is the inlet. the upper or lower hose?

I found out that the upper hose is the inlet but depends on if your talking about the heater core or intake manifold.

Inlet - Engine to Heater

..

You could turn on the heater to the max and feel which hose
is the hottest.
In the old days I have reversed the hoses while doing a
coolant flush to clear any crud that may have been in the
heater core.
I once read that there was an engine that used the flow of
the heater system to help cool a part of the engine.

Have a good one.. Don S..
