A few months ago my 2007 Frontier (V6) wouldn't start. Thinking battery, I jumped it off and drove to a parts place. They did a quick check and said it was the alternator, not the battery. I carried the truck to Pep Boys to have an alternator installed but after some time, they came back and said it was not the alternator...it was my leaving the cell phone charger plugged into the hot point in the center console that had drained the battery just enough to create a problem. This had never been a problem before but they assured me this was the problem. But, they also informed me  that my RIGHT headlight was out. They replaced the bulb for the cost of the bulb. All was fine for awhile till, again one morning, the truck would not start. When I raised the hood to jump the truck off, I quickly noticed the battery posts had accumulated a significant amount of corrosion in a short period of time. I went back to the parts place and this time I replaced the battery AND this time, the LEFT headlight was out. I replaced it too. Things seem well for several weeks, maybe a month, then the truck began to "bog down" or stall as I was driving down the road. Then, about once a week, it would completely shut down, turn off, while I was driving down the road. Also, the gas mileage calculator went nuts, jumping around all over the place and the RIGHT headlight went again. I did a lot of online research and was greater than 90% convinced that my problem was the Electronic Control Unit or Relay (ECU), a component of the IPDM (Intelligent Power Distribution Module). All the posts I read said it was best to just replace the entire IPDM. I ordered the part from Nissan and installed it myself. It was just as easy as the forums said it would be. I felt pretty good....till the next day. Took the truck on a short trip. On the way over, I thought I felt the truck bog down but quickly recover. On the way back, it did the same thing and then, later, it completely shut down, turned off. I'm back to square one and out $200. IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE WHO CAN TELL WHAT'S GOING ON? HELP.

From what you are saying, it sounds like the alt may be
over charging, hence the head lites blowing. Might want to
have it checked @ your dealer instead of throwing expensive
parts @ it.
